NY Frolic Checkpoints set!

Whatever you do do go here!
Well thats it folks! The New Year Marafun Checkpoints are set! All the CPs are agreed with the Frolic team and you lucky people are set for a real adventure!

Once again, in the cold, wet, windy, icy and probably snowy British weather, these little orange clippers with their razor sharp "teeth" will be your only friends on the course...

Mind those fingers, these bite!
We have set records this time with even more places for you to visit and we've even thrown some curve balls in there to keep you from being bored.

Sign up today :)

The Half Marafun Frolic - 24th Jan 2015

The Frolic teams views on short races...

The Half Marafun Frolic - 24th Jan 2015

The Frolic team have been asked a few times "is there a shorter distance frolic on the 24th Jan event?" Well there is now!

We would say half the frolic could be seen as half the fun but we have made sure that isn't the case with our event!

With every half marathon normally running at 13.1 miles, we've given you more! More miles that is!

Our half marafun will be a minimum of 18 miles of lovely Essex countryside

The format remains the same and there will be the same twists and turns as you are given your "clues" to decide the route, its just a little shorter.

To enter the half just tick the option on the revised form and you're all set...

P.S.

All distances are approx. and it's up to you really how many or few you do :)

First entries in before the entry form is even out!

New Year Marafun Frolic 2015 - News!

First entries in, entry form out and route decided!

What can we say? Some people just don't know when to quit! After announcing the event last week we've already had our first entries including some of the "big hitters" from last time out.

I know many people have been asking for over a year when the next Frolic was taking place but its great to see you signing up so soon. For those that like doing things the traditional way, please find the entry form below.

Finally...

The route. Here attached is a GPX file of the course for you too upload to your wrist PC..... Errrr actually that's a bit of a lie! We've worked on the plan (yes there is one) and the route is set. We've had to do had as it's kind of the law with risk assessments and all that but we're not telling you as it's on a "need to know" basis and you don't need to know (yet anyway). We have published the QS map you'll need so I'd pack for Chelmsford/Braintree/Colchester.....

See you soon

Frolic team

The Frolic Returns with the

"Winter Marafun" in 2015

This might be a clue to the route?

The Frolic Navigation "Marafun" starts in Little Baddow Essex. The 26.2-mile route will consist of a single looped course via some delightful Essex countryside (Note distance is min possible to complete course and really depends on how well you can read a map)

This isn't your usual "race". There will be no route directions to blame for your bonus miles, only you! Oh and this year expect the unexpected!

If you normally carry a map but it doesn't come out of your pack, I'd get practicing...

GPS usage is allowed but I've no idea how this would be an advantage anyway!

Get a grid reference, pick a route, run as fast as you can!
